Games To Watch

0

Well it’s the beginning of a new Spurs season and Project Spurs wants to give you a few games to watch and mark your calendar for during the Spurs run for another title.

November 2006:

November 14 the Spurs take on the Houston Rockets. Possible playoff match-up here and the newly retooled Rockets take on our Spurs in Houston. Yao has been dominating this early NBA season so the Spurs will have their hands full with him. Let’s hope T-Mac doesn’t go nuts and score like 100 points in 5 seconds!
November 24 the Spurs host the Dallas Pussies errrr I mean the Chokers errrrr I mean the Mavericks. Let’s welcome the Mavs in the AT&T Center by chanting “we got three titles how about you?” Though the Mavs started off 0-4, they have won some games of late. Josh Howard is out for some time with an injury and Spurs should feel no remorse over that. Hope Elson drops some huge numbers on the Mavs and that Finley will shake out of his shooting slump.
December 2006:
December 2 the Spurs host the “Suck”ramento Kings. A rematch of last years first-round playoff match up. Will there be another “Barry Bounce”? I hope so because it was an exciting series between these two franchises. A definite game to watch!
December 10 the Spurs travel to LA and take on the Lakers. I can see it now, Kobe “The Rapist” Bryant getting shut down by Bowen, Pop and Phil Jackson jawing at each other, and Duncan posterizing Bynum. Don’t you miss the old Spurs-Lakers rivalry? I do!
January 2007:
January 2 the Spurs have a chance at revenge as they take on the Cleveland Cavs. The Cavs beat the Spurs in San Antonio on the Spurs home opener and in that game Lebron posterized Duncan. If you haven’t seen it, it was nasty!
January 15 the Spurs travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls. Big Ben versus Duncan, and Parker versus Gordon will be the marquee match-ups. These aren’t the push-over Bulls anymore. Ask Miami!
February 2007:
February 1 the Spurs travel to Phoenix and face the Suns. I hope this time Raja Bell gets his ass beat in by Manu. I can’t stand Bell! Key match-up will be Parker versus Nash. Parker pretty much makes Nash his bitch and let’s hope this continues.
February 11 the Spurs visit Miami. Spurs versus Heat should have been last years NBA Finals match-up but thanks to the refs robbing the Spurs and Manu’s big “F” up in fouling Dirk, this match-up didn’t happen.
March 2007:
March 5 the Spurs travel to Los Angeles to face the Clippers. The Clips are not a push-over team anymore, seeing they were one game away from the Western Conference Finals last postseason. Good test for the Spurs should these two clubs meet in the playoffs this year.
March 23 the Spurs host the Pistons. Spurs will welcome back butterfingers errrrr I mean Nazr to San Antonio in the Pistons only trip to the AT&T Center. No more Big Ben to worry about so it should be a great game for the Spurs.
April 2007:
April 15 the Spurs will be in Dallas for the two teams last regular season match-up before the playoffs. This game could hold huge playoff seeding implication should the two teams be battling it out for the division lead. It should be a highly emotional game and another chapter in this budding rivalry.
