As we reported, former San Antonio Spurs player James Gist had failed a drug test and his TurkishJG team were weighing their options on what to do next.

Well it turns out Gist may have just ended his chance at finding a club in Turkey and it’s unknown if any other European teams will take the chance at picking him up. The news comes from the international site ACB.com.

According to the report, Fenerbahce GM, Aydin Ors, stated Gist will not be with the club next season after Gist tested positive for dope in June.

Gist was a 2008 second round draft selection by the Spurs, the team held his rights for two seasons before Gist went to play overseas in 2010.

There is a huge lesson for Gist to learn from this incident. Let’s hope he makes takes the right steps giong forward.
