Ex-Spur Oberto to decide basketball future in January

With Da’Sean Butler being named the latest San Antonio Spurs player to head overseas during the ongoing NBA lockout, a former Spur hasn’t made his decision on whether or not he’ll return to the NBA or basketball in general.

According to Pagina12.com.ar Fabricio Oberto won’t make his decision on returning to the NBA until January.

The pivot Fabricio Oberto said he will wait until January to make a decision about his future in basketball. “I’m doing some training and waiting out the NBA lockout. Until January I will not take any decision. I do not know if I’ll play somewhere or if I will leave.”

With the NBA still uncertain as to how long the ongoing lockout will last, players like Oberto who are hitting the tail-end of their career don’t have the option of waiting out an entire NBA season. If they need to play basketball, it will most likely be overseas.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? If the price and contract is right, would you like to see Oberto back in silver and black should he try to make it back into the NBA?
