Add another NBA player heading overseas due to the lockout. This time it is former San Antonio Spurs player Alonzo Gee as he will be playing in Poland and joining Asseco Prokom Gdynia.
Gee spent part of last season with the Spurs and Wizards before landing with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he averaged 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and shot 46% from the field in 67 games last season.
Gee also spent time with the Spurs’ D-League affiliate Austin Toros where he excelled. While in Austin, he was the Rookie of the Year for 2009–10 after averaging 21 points on 51% shooting and 6.6 rebounds in 38.2 minutes per game in 36 games.
