The French national team got exhibition play underway with a 101-93 win over Finland as EuroBasket 2013 inches closer.

Three San Antonio Spurs players suited up for Team France including Boris Diaw, Tony Parker and Nando De Colo and all helped France to the win. However, it was Diaw who led the team to the tune of 14 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds in 26 minutes of play.

Tony Parker, who stated he was going to see limited minutes in exhibition play, finished with 10 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds in 15 minutes of action. De Colo chipped in 10 points and 3 rebounds in 18 minutes.

Team France will next play Germany but will have to find a way to win without Parker.

According to French site Eurosport, Parker will skip exhibition play versus Germany on August 6 and join the team August 8 in Strasbourgh. Parker will be on vacation during those days.

With all the running around TP does, including play with Team France, this is welcomed news for Spurs fans hoping he rests up somewhat before training camp kicks off in October.
