Great Britain held a 20-point lead on France but it wasn’t enough to beat the French squad as France made an incredible comeback for a 79-74 win in exhibition play.

San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker made his debut for France after his playing status was in doubt due to an eye injury he suffered in a nightclub brawl in New York City but didn’t play much for the game nor during the huge comeback by France.

The key to France’s comeback was a focus on defense in the second-half which frustrated Great Britain. France took the lead with 1:30 left in regulation up 72-69 and never let go.

Team France was led by Spurs’ Boris Diaw who finished with 14 points while Nando De Colo finished with 13 points and three rebounds. Team Great Britain was led by Bulls’ Luol Deng with a game high of 23 point and 12 rebounds.

France will next play BCM Gravelines in exhibition play before the 2012 Olympic Games begin.
