It was a coming out party of sort for San Antonio Spurs' Danny Green during the 2013 NBA Finals. He was mentioned as a possible NBA Finals MVP after he displayed a deft shooting stroke from the three-point line.
Green put his name on the NBA record when he broke Ray Allen's Finals record, when he connected on a whopping 7-9 from behind the arch in Game 3, and made 5-5 from deep in Game 2.
With that, he went from obscurity to now a recognized name in the NBA so needless to say, Green's life has changed.
“My life has changed a lot after the Finals,” Green said. “I got national exposure. I’ve had a chance to travel the world and meet fans because I played in the finals.”
After a solid performance in the Finals, the question now is whether he can sustain a high-level of play throughout next season and more importantly, a high-level of consistent play in the postseason.
Heading into next season, he will be sought to be a bigger option and contributor for San Antonio. He proved he can be a solid contributor for the Spurs in the postseason and will have to find another gear if he wants to go from recognizable player to All-Star.
