At 34-years old, San Antonio Spurs' training camp invitee Corey Maggette understands his time in the NBA is limited but still feels he can still have an impact on an NBA squad.

In an interview with Sirius XM Sports, Maggette made it clear he knows he has to adjust his role and be ready mentally. He admits that he is a scorer but understands he must adjust his game if he wants to stick on an NBA team. Specifically, he says he can bring a leadership role to a team and states that NBA teams nowadays lack veteran leadership.

Take a listen to what Maggette had to say.

San Antonio is stacked with veteran leadership, namely Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, so if Corey wants to be on the Spurs' opening night roster, he will have to bring something else to the table.

With the Spurs looking for a solid backup for Kawhi Leonard, it might be a situation where Maggette must be that scoring option off the bench. If he can still disrupt the opposing team's defense and get to the foul line, he could prove to be a nice threat off the Spurs' bench.
