PRUDENTIAL CENTER, NEW JERSEY – As reported earlier, the Milwaukee Bucks are set to obtain Stephen Jackson from the Charlotte Bobcats after agreeing to a three-team trade that gives Charlotte the seventh pick in tonight’s NBA Draft.

Charlotte will received forward Corey Maggette from Milwaukee as well.

The Sacramento Kings will receive the number 10 pick from Milwaukee, along with John Salmons.

The Bucks also will receive Beno Udrih from the Kings, along with guard Shaun Livingston and the 19th pick from Charlotte.

At the 2011 NBA Draft, I got a chance to speak to Bucks’ Brandon Jennings to get his thoughts on the trade.

“At the end of the day, John Hammond (Bucks GM) he’s trying to do what’s best for the team. I still wish those guys (Maggette, Salmons) the best of luck in their future for their team.”

When asked about his new teammate, Stephen Jackson, Jennings likes everything he will bring to the Bucks.

“With Stephen Jackson, he’s known as a winner. A guy that can score the ball and is a great guy overall. He brings toughness, his desire to win. Every team he goes to you always hear good things about him. I think a vet like that, he can help me too.”

When asked if Jennings is happy with the trade he said, “Of course.”
