Bonner to hit the links for charity

In Louden, New Hampshire, The New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities will be hosting events leading up to the Sprint Cup race on Sunday. One San Antonio Spurs player will be involved in the events tomorrow according to UnionLeader.com.MB

Tomorrow, spend the day outside at Canterbury Woods Country Club for the One for the Kids Golf Tournament presented by Malco Distributors of New England. The golf tournament will feature NASCAR personalities Reed Sorenson, Brian Scott, Dick Berggren, Adam Alexander, Allen Bestwick, Larry McReynolds and Concord, N.H. native Matt Bonner from the San Antonio Spurs.

Bonner is vice president of the Players Union during the negotiations in the lockout so I’m sure the break from the CBA talks will do him some good.

It’s still great to see that he pushes those issues aside and is still finding time to be a positive role model in the community. It’s another strong characteristic of being a part of the “Spurs culture.”
