SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they have assigned center Boban Marjanovic and guard Ray McCallum to the Austin Spurs.

Marjanovic is in his first year with San Antonio and is averaging 1.8 points, 1.5 rebounds in almost four minutes a game. The 7-3 center from Serbia is in his first season in the NBA after being signed over the summer. He made his NBA debut against the Brooklyn Nets on October 30th where he finished with six points, five rebounds and one assist.

McCallum is another first year San Antonio Spur after coming to the silver and black via trade with the Sacramento Kings. The 6-3 guard has appeared in 10 games for San Antonio averaging 1.0 points and 0.7 rebounds in 4.3 minutes of action per game.

The assignment gives both players a chance to see some much needed action this season. Marjanovic will be making his NBA Developmental League debut, while McCallum comes back to the D-League where he spent seven games playing for the Reno Bighorns and averaged 20.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals in just under 36 minutes per game.

Both players are expected to be active tonight for the Austin Spurs (6-1) matchup against the Westchester Knicks (6-1). Tipoff is at 7:30 live from the Cedar Park Center.
