Blossomgame signs with Austin, puns ensue

San Antonio Spurs draftee Jaron Blossomgame is expected to spend some time in Austin next year according to a report by ESPN’s Michael Wright who says Blossomgame will sign a standard G-League contract.

Blossomgame was drafted 59th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs after spending four seasons with the Clemson Tigers. In his collegiate career, Blossomgame averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 49 percent from the field and a paltry 32 percent on 3-pointers.

The 6-foot-7 forward will turn 24 years old before the NBA G-League season gets underway.

While Blossomgame has an NBA-ready physique with perimeter defense to boot, he still lacks a bit of a scoring punch to his game. Blossomgame does a great job of slashing into the lane and finishing around the rim, but his jumpshot needs some tweaking to survive at the next level.
