San Antonio Spurs' DeJuan Blair did not play in last night's season opener versus the Hornets (DNP-Coach's Decision) and he took to Twitter to voice his feelings.

And it did not stop there. Blair continued to share his feelings. Aside from jokingly asking if anyone has "inches" to spare so he can be taller, Blair tweeted this:

Well there you go Spurs fans. He isn't going on some huge diatribe and openly complaining about not playing last night but it is something to watch for during the season. He is in a contract season and perhaps he just wants to show he is raring to go and earn an extension with the team.

On one hand, Blair put in the work in the offseason and perhaps he was expecting to be rewarded for his efforts. On the other hand, going from a starter to getting a DNP might bother a player. But at the same time coach Popovich knows what he is doing when it comes to the rotation.

Consider this as well. With the team will play the second game off a back-to-back situation tonight against the Thunder, having a fresh Blair is on the mind of the coaching staff should they need to rest any of the other bigs.

Moreover, I do like that he is itching to get on the court. It shows he is eager to contribute towards the team's success. Besides, he is a competitive, professional athlete. How can anyone expect him to just be happy to not get playing time and ride the bench? Of couse he wants to get on the court.

But seeing how the team doesn't have much big man depth, Blair will get time on the court as the season rolls along and it could start tonight versus Oklahoma City; a team he plays very well against throughout his NBA career.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? What are your thoughts?
