BKB 24: Dorian Darch vs Jody Meikle Fight Preview

Dorian Darch had a strong start to his professional boxing career, winning his first six fights on the way to 12-4 by his fifth year. His career in the ring quickly fell off from there, going 0-8-1 over the next four years. In 2021, Darch made the switch over to bare-knuckle boxing, winning his debut last March against Mason Shaw by TKO. Now he’s back and looking for another hot start to his career. His second opponent is another former boxer, Jody “One Man Riot” Meikle.

In a six-year career, Meikle fought in 71 bouts, but unfortunately spent most of that time losing. Amassing a 12-56-3 record in that time, he didn’t win consecutive appearances until 2015, earning two TKO victories in a span of two weeks. Meikle hasn’t boxed professionally since 2017, losing by unanimous decision in his final bout. Hopefully, his time in BKB goes better.

Supporting the Dach vs Meikle match are BKB veterans Scott McHugh and Carlos Guerra. Since 2018, McHugh has pieced together a 5-3 record, winning his last time out against Jonny Lawson in November by points. He takes on another boxing convert in Guerra who is a relative newcomer to bare-knuckle boxing. In 2021, Guerra took four fights, winning them all to earn his 4-0-0 record. He’s ended all of his fights by KO/TKO, last defeating Jeff Chiffens in December.
