MEMPHIS – Jaron Blossomgame surpassed the 20-point plateau for the second time in as many days as the Spurs bounced back from Thursday’s loss with a 22-point victory against the Memphis Hustle.

TURNING POINT
After trailing 5-4 early in the first, the Spurs generated a 33-15 run to close the quarter and take control of the game. Austin tied or outscored Memphis in each of the next three quarters en route to their 22-point victory against the Memphis Hustle.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Austin shot 50 percent (48-for-96) from the floor, while the Hustle were 37-of-92 (40 percent) from the floor.
  • The Spurs went 8-of-24 (33 percent) from beyond the arc in the victory and went 17-of-23 (74 percent) from the charity stripe. The Hustle, meanwhile, were 7-of-22 (32 percent) from downtown and went 18-of-24 from the charity stripe (75 percent).
  • One game after reducing their turnovers by 10 against the Clippers, the Spurs reduced their total team turnovers by one Friday evening, finishing with just 18 team turnovers versus Memphis.
  • Austin dished out 19 team assists compared to the Hustle’s 18.
