Kansas vs TCU Preview

Kansas is tied atop the Big 12 standings with Texas at 10-4 while winning four of its last five games. TCU has tumbled the last couple of weeks losing four of its last five games, getting back in the win column by scoring 100 points against Oklahoma State. These two teams are pretty evenly matched when it comes to the major counting stats so expect a good game.

TCU is a well-balanced offensive team that’s led by Mike Miles Jr. who scores almost 18 points per game. The next two guys combine for about 26 points a game as well. Kansas will undoubtedly be led by Jalen Wilson with some shooting help from Gradey Dick who’s scored 42 points in his last two games.

Baylor vs Kansas State

  • When: Tuesday, February 21, 2023
  • Start Time: 7:00 PM ET
  • Location: Bramlage Coliseum – Manhattan, Kansas
  • How to watch: ESPN2

Baylor vs Kansas State Preview

The Bears had been on a tear until their loss to Kansas. They’ve won 10 of their last 12 games, but don’t have any gimme games left on their schedule. If they want to get back to the top of the Big 12, they’ll need to win out. Kansas State on the other hand has lost four of its last six games.

The Bears have been led by Keyonte George who is not super efficient but is easily their best scorer. Kansas State’s Keyonte has also been excellent in leading his team in scoring and rebounding. The battle between these two should be fun and could decide the game.

Marquette vs Creighton

  • When: Tuesday, February 21, 2023
  • Start Time: 8:30 PM ET
  • Location: CHI Health Center Omaha – Omaha, Nebraska
  • How to watch: FS1

Marquette vs Creighton Preview

These two teams are only separated by a game in the Big East standings and this game could be the difference in a seed line or two for the NCAA Tournament. Marquette has won seven of its last eight games while Creighton finally broke out of its early season slump. The Blue Jays have won nine of their last 10 games.

The Creighton starting five all average 12 points per game or better, which means anyone can pop off in any given matchup. For Marquette, they are similar with five guys averaging nearly double digits as well. They are mostly led by Kameron Jones who scores nearly 15 points a game.

Indiana vs Purdue

  • When: Saturday, February 25, 2023
  • Start Time: 7:30 PM ET
  • Location: Mackey Arena – West Lafayette, Indiana
  • How to watch: FOX

Indiana vs Purdue Preview

The Hoosiers have won eight out of ten games including an upset win over Purdue a few weeks back at home. Now they’re hoping to make it a season sweep at Mackey Arena. Meanwhile, Purdue bounced back from back-to-back losses to Northwestern and Maryland by whopping the bejeezus out of Ohio State.

Indiana will have to see if the strategy for containing Zach Edey works again as Purdue surely has a counter for that this time around. Undoubtedly, one of those counters will be to make more shots. But of course, that’s easier said than done. Purdue will have to answer the call of Trayce Jackson-Davis and find a way to contain him this time.

Saint Mary’s vs Gonzaga

  • When: Saturday, February 25, 2023
  • Start Time: 10:00 PM ET
  • Location: McCarthey Athletic Center – Spokane, Washington
  • How to watch: ESPN2

Saint Mary’s vs Gonzaga Preview

This will be one of the few matchups this season between ranked opponents in the West Coast Conference and should be a good one. The Gaels are actually atop the WCC standings with Gonzaga a game behind them. Assuming both teams win their midweek games, this could decide the top team in the conference or at least force a tie.

Saint Mary’s freshman, Aidan Mahaney, has been phenomenal and leads his team in scoring at 15.1 points per game. For the Bulldogs, it’s been Drew Timme, who’s been averaging over 20 points per game. He’s gotten some help from Julian Strawther, who has been near unstoppable when he’s hitting shots.
