As has been the case for this entire college basketball season, Week 13 was absolutely wild. The streak of crazy upsets and the AP Poll meaning nothing continues. In fact, it’s been an especially nutty year for top-2 teams.

On top of that, this week in particular had an absurd amount of AP Top 25 losses.

Knowing that, week 14 has quite the billing to live up to, if not exceed. Here are some of the best games from the upcoming week.

How To Watch These College Basketball Games

Duke vs Miami

  • When: Monday, February 6, 2023
  • Start Time: 7:00 PM ET
  • Location: Watsco Center – Coral Gables, Florida
  • How to watch: ESPN

Duke vs Miami Preview

Both teams are coming off huge wins this past weekend and will look to take that momentum in this showdown. Duke is coming off a six-point win over rival UNC while Miami beat a ranked Clemson team to show that the Hurricanes are legit. With this game in Miami, Duke’s freshmen will have to prove they’re ready for another big game after the emotional high of a win over the Tar Heels.

Only half a game separates them within the conference so the winner of this game automatically moves up a spot in the standings. On top of those stakes, Miami is looking to avenge a loss to Duke only a couple of weeks ago. Isaiah Wong and Nijel Pack will once again need to play well in this one for the ‘Canes to have a shot at winning.

Texas vs Kansas

  • When: Monday, February 6, 2023
  • Start Time: 9:00 PM ET
  • Location: Allen Fieldhouse – Lawrence, Kansas
  • How to watch: ESPN

Texas vs Kansas Preview

These two teams seem to be heading in different directions right now as the Longhorns have won their last four out of five games (including four straight Big 12 games) while Kansas has lost four out of its last six games. The Jayhawks need some homecourt cooking to get back on track and get over the demolition of their 15-point loss at Iowa State.

Texas came from behind to beat Kansas State away from home and is hoping they won’t need the same kind of Herculean effort to beat this reeling Kansas team. Marcus Carr has been great for Texas and has gotten phenomenal support from the rest of his team, especially from Sir’Jabari Rice recently. Meanwhile, Jalen Wilson for Kansas could use a little more help from his teammates.

Marquette vs UConn

  • When: Tuesday, February 7, 2023
  • Start Time: 6:30 PM ET
  • Location: XL Center – Hartford, Connecticut
  • How to watch: FS1

Marquette vs UConn Preview

Marquette has been on fire lately, winning its last five games and 10 out of its last 11. Meanwhile, UConn has been struggling since starting Big East play. The Huskies are 7-6 in conference play after a narrow win over an incredibly bad Georgetown team. They are an even 3-3 in the last six games, but those losses include Seton Hall and St. John’s who should not have been a problem for UConn.

The Golden Eagles are tied atop the Big East with Xavier right now and getting a second win over UConn this season would be huge for the tournament resume. Marquette will have to overcome the usually stingy UConn defense at home this time. That could be a problem for Kameron Jones and company who only scored 60 against Butler in their last game.

TCU vs Kansas State

  • When: Tuesday, February 7, 2023
  • Start Time: 9:00 PM ET
  • Location: Bramlage Coliseum – Manhattan, Kansas
  • How to watch: ESPNU

TCU vs Kansas State Preview

The Horned Frogs have had a baffling last couple of weeks with losses to Oklahoma State and Mississippi State, but also with wins over Kansas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia. Meanwhile, Kansas State led a lead slip away against Texas in its last game and has lost three of its last four. Thus proving that life in the Big 12 is rougher than in most conferences.

Both of these teams are 6-4 in the conference and so a win will give them a full game up on the loser in this one. These teams are pretty similar with only a two-point differential in how many points they give up to opponents per game. This game could come down to which bench or supporting players step up to the challenge.

Alabama vs Auburn

  • When: Saturday, February 11, 2023
  • Start Time: 2:00 PM ET
  • Location: Neville Arena – Auburn, Alabama
  • How to watch: ESPN

Alabama vs Auburn Preview

Alabama is currently undefeated in conference play and that could continue with a midweek game at home against Florida. Assuming the Crimson Tide win that game, they’ll be 11-0 when they face Auburn. On the other side, Auburn just got gut-punched by Tennessee in one of the ugliest games of basketball this decade. If the Tigers can get over the emotions of that game and beat Texas A&M midweek, they should give themselves a chance to beat their in-state rival.

Look for Alabama’s Brandon Miller to be the top performer again while Auburn will likely look to spread the wealth on offense. However, should the Tigers go through another bout of poor guard play, you can rest assured that this game will be over quickly. Unlike Tennessee, this Alabama team doesn’t have an issue scoring and will get buckets in bunches.

Tune in next week for the best college basketball games of week 15.
