Monday morning Sportando reported restricted free agent Davis Bertans will re-sign with the San Antonio Spurs on a four year deal for $20 million.
That report turned out to be ‘premature’ according to Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express News.
Word from a league source and the agent for Davis Bertans is that a report saying the #Spurs have reached a deal with the restricted free agent is premature. Progress is being made, for sure, but there’s no agreement.

Since the deal has not been verbally agreed to, Bertans remains a restricted free agent with a $1.6 million qualifying offer.
The Spurs still have $2.7 million of their mid-level exception and $3.3 million of their bi-annual exception to add players to the team. Along with Bertans, Bryn Forbes and Darrun Hilliard remain restricted free agents.
