Coming into Saturday, the Italian National team was undefeated in exhibition play as they continue to prepare for the upcoming EuroBasket tournament. From Saturday to Monday however, the Italians have found themselves in unfamiliar territory; in the midst of a 3-game losing streak.

San Antonio Spurs guard Marco Belinelli did what he could Monday as he led the Italians with 24 points, but in the end, Poland was the victor defeating Italy 82-79 to conclude the European Basketball tour in Antwerp, Belgium.

Having lost to Belgium on Saturday and then Israel on Sunday, Italy will have two days off to regroup and try to get back on the winning track as their next opponent in friendly play will be Montenegro on Thursday in Koper, Slovenia.

Also taking the court on Thursday in another part of the world will be Spurs backup point guard Cory Joseph, as Canada will be facing Puerto Rico in preparation for the 2013 FIBA Americas tournament in Venezuela next month.
