Austin Spurs Mirroring the Success of the San Antonio Spurs

As the 2015 NBA D-League Playoffs get underway; Brian Kotloff took a moment to go over the top 5 storylines in the league.

The Austin Spurs were mentioned to in two of the 5 story lines.

Kyle Anderson who is currently with the Austin Spurs has managed to impress the San Antonio Spurs with his 21.3 points, 8.7 boards and 4.8 assists per game average, while shooting 44.7% from the field and 35.4% from beyond the arc. This has resulted in multiple call ups to through out the season.  A solid performance in the playoffs could lead to him starting next season with the team in San Antonio and

remain up there.

The Austin squad is not the only team mirroring their NBA affiliate, seems like Western Bracket of the D-League Playoffs is having a similar feel as the current NBA Playoff Bracket.

The Santa Cruz Warriors, must like the Austin squad, is following a similar path to their NBA affiliate the Golden State Warriors.  Both Warrior teams have a Thompson (Klay’s older brother Mychel) shooting the lights out from the wing. Along with earning the top seed in the Western Conference of the playoff bracket and are looking to make a deep run.

So Spurs fans, do you think the Warriors have a deep playoff run in them or do you think the Austin Spurs will rain on their parade?
