CEDAR PARK – The Austin Spurs announced today that guard Bryce Cotton would be joining the silver and black again later this week.
After his hot start to the season, it didn’t take long for Cotton to receive another shot at the NBA level. The 23-year-old guard played in Austin’s first four games averaging 22.0 points, 4.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 35 minutes of action per game.
Cotton would find himself on the Phoenix Suns roster in late November making him the third Gatorade Call-Up of the 2015-16 season. He appeared in just three games with the Suns before being waived, seeing most of his action against the San Antonio Spurs in his December 30th debut.
The 6-foot-1 point guard out of Providence will rejoin the Austin Spurs as they head out to California for a quick two-game road trip.
Cotton will reclaim his #7 jersey as the Spurs face the Bakersfield Jam on Thursday from the Dignity Health Event Center. Tipoff is at 10 PM EST.
