Audio: Spurs’ Buford talks offseason moves & more with ‘The Hardline’

The offseason for the San Antonio Spurs wasn't a huge splash. The team resigned core players (Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter), signed guard Marco Belinelli and Jeff Pendergraph. Aside from those moves, it's been relatively quiet for San Antonio.

At the front of the offseason moves has been Spurs GM R.C. Buford who spoke with Project Spurs' good friends Eric Messersmith and Ari Temkin over at 1250 ESPN "The Hardline."

From the team pursuing free agent Andrei Kirilenko (who ultimately signed with the Nets), reasons the team resigned Manu, the additions of Belinelli and Pendergraph, 2013 NBA draft pick Deshaun Thomas heading to Spain, getting Kawhi Leonard healthy and more, Buford opens up on many topics Spurs fans will enjoy. Interestingly enough, Buford said Thomas needs to improve his overall game in Spain if he wants to have a role with San Antonio in the future. Seems there is some healthy-pressure on Deshaun's shoulders.

Hear what Buford had to say about this and losing in the NBA Finals with Eric and Ari of "The Hardline."
