Alonzo Gee signs with the Washington Wizards

Former San Antonio Spur and Austin Toros swingman Alonzo Gee resigned with the Washington Wizards today. Gee was waived last week to make room for the signing of former North Carolina guard Danny Green. Gee appeared in five games this year for the Spurs and only scored in one of those games.

Last season Gee spent time with the Wizards before deciding to sign with the Spurs. After signing Gee, the Wizards cut the struggling Lester Hudson, so Gee should see some playing time immediately.

This ends any chance of him making a return to the Toros, which fans were hoping would be the case. The 1-1 new look Toros will take the floor again tomorrow night against the Texas Legends.
