5 things to watch: Spurs vs. Nuggets

The San Antonio Spurs (53-17 will begin a stretch of games where they will be facing playoff bound teams and it starts tonight versus the Denver Nuggets (49-23) in San Antonio.

This will be the third meeting between the two team with one more game in Denver next month. The Spurs and Nuggets have split the first two meetings with each team winning on their home court. In the most recent game, the Spurs lost to the Nuggets 106-112 in Denver. Tim Duncan finished with 31 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks while Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Spurs are coming off a tough loss to the Rockets 95-96 by a last second bucket by James Harden in the final moments of the game. Tony Parker finished with a team-high 23 points and 7 assists.

The Nuggets saw their 15-game winning streak snapped in a 86-110 loss to the Hornets in New Orleans. Gallinari led Denver with 24 points. Denver was again without guard Ty Lawson (right heel injury).
