5 things to watch: Spurs vs. Blazers

The San Antonio Spurs (18-5) will take on the Portland Trail Blazers (9-12) tonight as the Spurs continue their extended road trip. This will be the second meeting of the season between Portland and San Antonio. The Spurs won the first meeting with the Trail Blazers this season, 112-109, in Portland in November.

The Spurs are coming off a loss against the Utah Jazz last night, 99-96, off a last second three-pointer made by Mo Williams to end the game. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with a monster performance with 22 points and 22 rebounds.

The Blazers are coming off a 92-74 win over the Blazers. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. JJ Hickson also recorded a double-double, scoring 16 points along with grabbing 11 boards.

And as the Spurs and Blazers get set to tussle, here are five things to watch for during tonight's game:

• Portland has lost two straight regular season meetings with the Spurs. Portland has not lost three straight games against San Antonio since losing 12 in a row to the Spurs from 2005-2008.
• The winning team in the series has scored at least 112 points in each of the past three meetings.

• Portland improved to 4-0 in overtime games this season.

• Portland's starting five lead the NBA in scoring, averaging 81.9 points per game.

• Portland's Hickson has recorded double-digit rebounds in 13 games this season.
