      matchup

The San Antonio Spurs (32-14) will look to sweep the last game of three games in three nights as well as the Sixers as they host the Philadelphia 76ers (27-21). The Spurs are coming off a narrow win over the Hornets last night and look to show a bit more effort tonight versus the 76ers. Also, Tony Parker is a game-time decision.

These two teams met earlier this season where San Antonio won 100-90. Tony Parker led the team with a game-high of 37 points. The Spurs outshot the 76ers 44% to 40.9% from the floor. The 76ers were led by Lou Williams with 22 points.

San Antonio has not been a kind place to play for the Sixers, who have dropped 23 of 24 in the Alamo City since the 1986-87 season and have dropped seven straight on the road to San Antonio with their last win in 2004.

Here are five things to watch for in tonight’s Spurs-Sixers matchup.

  • Parker enjoys playing again the 76ers. Over the past three meetings, Parker is averaging 23.3 points on 53.2% shooting.
  • Sixers displaying hot and cold shooting versus the Spurs. Over the past three meetings, the Sixers are shooting 39.3% from the field but are shooting 44.4% from the three-point line.
  • Sixers don’t fare well versus the West. Philly is 7-10 against Western Conference teams this season.
  • Hawes makes a difference. With Spencer Hawes in the Sixers lineup, the team is 14-5. Without Hawes, the Sixers are 13-16.
  • Keep Philly under 100 points Spurs. Philadelphia is 12-2 when scoring 100 or more points this season.
