Spurscast #254: Backup point guard and Boba Fett

On this episode of the Spurscast, Jeff and I talk about the latest San Antonio Spurs news Empire Onlineincluding Manu Ginobili getting insured to play in the pre-Olympic tourney in Argentina.

We also discussed Ginobili talking about possibly retiring once his contract is up, the latest on Ryan Richards and Erazem Lorbek re-signing overseas.

After the break, we talked about how the backup point guard position has become an issue and what the Spurs can do to solidify that position after losing George Hill and putting a lot of pressure on Cory Joseph, who showed he was wet behind his ears as a freshman at Texas. Jeff and I both agree that signing a veteran in the Jacque Vaughn mold would be best as insurance in case Joseph does not work out. Oh and Jeff chides me for not knowing who Boba Fett is.
