Manu Ginobili and Patty Mills enjoy a good troll session

San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili has been known to troll teammates from time to time, especially Patty Mills. Well, it seems the fun doesn’t stop as Ginobili got him with a zinger yet again to the point where Patty calls out Manu’s infamous bald spot! Patty couldn’t let him have all the fun though as […]

Popovich says Kobe Bryant back on the court is ‘great’ for the league

Despite the numerous battles during the regular season, heated playoff wars, negative opinions about his personality, and fights on the court with the San Antonio Spurs, Lakers’ Kobe Bryant will go down as one of the fiercest competitors to ever play the game and at least deserves respect for his will to win. However, Bryant […]

Spurscast 344: Automatons

After dropping three of their first five games, the San Antonio Spurs steadied the ship with back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors. The Spurs continue their early West Coast road trip today in Hollywood where they’ll take on Kobe Bean Bryant and the hysterically awful Los Angeles Lakers.

The Spurs will also visit the surprising Sacramento Kings on Saturday before returning back to the AT&T Center for a just single home game. They’ll have to hop another Southwest flight to Cleveland in order to take on the new-look Cavaliers.

Benjamin Bornstein (@THE_BOOMSTEIN) rejoins hosts Aaron Preine (@DukeOfBexar) and Jose Grijalva (@JRG1023) to talk Spurs, the joke that is rest-gate, Tim Duncan’s awesomeness, and more on the one and only Spurscast The original San Antonio Spurs Podcast.

Patty Mills looks shredded as return to Spurs looms

Remember when the San Antonio Spurs head coach pretty much called out Patty Mills for being fat? Well, not anymore, as it seems Mills is looking shredded as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery to repair a torn rotator. Mills posted a photo of himself on Instagram looking leaner, as he appears to be more than […]

Video: Adam Hanga’s latest game highlights are awesome

Seriously, San Antonio Spurs foreign prospect Adam Hanga is developing his game by leaps and bounds, as you will see in the highlights of his recent game for Italian squad Sidigas.

Hanga shows all out hustle on both ends of the court, an improved outside shot, ability to get to the rim, finding the open man, dunking with ferocity and more. However, what stands out the most is his improved defense. He hustled down the court for a huge block and has active hands on defense.

Check out the latest Hanga highlights and prepare to be impressed! (more…)

Rest gate: Should Popovich rest players so early in season?

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is known for resting his players in back-to-back situations. He even made headlines when he sent Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Danny Green home in 2012 and was fined $250,000 by the NBA. The resting issue has been a debate for several seasons and the Silver […]

San Antonio Spurs v Los Angeles Clippers

Tim Duncan’s agelessness is taken for granted

That might be one of the most things I have written, but people still don’t understand what the 38-year old is doing. San Antonio Spurs’ Tim Duncan has five double-doubles in the six games he’s played so far this year. He has over 800 career double-doubles — good for third-most in NBA history — and […]

Video: Davis Bertans puts on a show in recent game for Laboral Kutxa

San Antonio Spurs foreign prospect, forward Davis Bertans, had himself quite the game recently as he proved there no where on the court he cannot hit a shot.

Versus Spanish club La Bruxia d’ Or, Bertans finished with a double-double finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of play. He showed a much more aggressive game as well as a deadly outside shot including one nifty 360 degree pass to a teammate during the game.

Needless to say, if he continues this kind of play, the Spurs may be looking at another diamond in the rough stashed overseas. (more…)

Manu Ginobili Trolls Teammate Patty Mills

As many of you know, San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills is still recovering from off season shoulder surgery and his return to the court is still weeks away. But that hasn’t stopped Mills from supporting his teammates from the sidelines or should I say the Twitter sideline. Last night, Patty seemed pretty fired up for […]

Kawhi-2

The Year of Kawhi

The San Antonio Spurs expect the usual from their Big Three this upcoming season, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. In fact, Gregg Popovich’s group will once again contend for the NBA Championship. But, a guy who has shown he can take the next big step, is Kawhi Leonard. The MVP of the 2013-14 […]
