The San Antonio Spurs have won eight of their last ten games but still find themselves near the tail end of the playoff pack. With only fifteen games left in the regular season, the window to gain ground in the standings is closing quickly. Nights like the New York Knicks debacle are no longer affordable losses.

Apparently Pop has a nice and joking side

OK so he maybe isn’t that bad! It would seem San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich can be pretty funny when he isn’t berating sideline reporters and being terse with them. One redditor user described one such experience when he was in New York and the team was there to play the Knicks.

Video: Former Spur Stephen Jackson calls Popovich a ‘father figure,’ Duncan the ‘best human being’

First it was San Antonio Spurs’ Matt Bonner talking about how special team head coach Gregg Popovich is and now former Spurs player Stephen Jackson spoke on Pop and he has impacted his life.

In an interview with Fox Sports, Jackson referred to Pop as a father figure citing run ins with him and said despite being cut by the Spurs, he doesn’t have any ill will towards Pop.
