Postgame: Inside the Mavs locker room

AT&T CENTER – The San Antonio Spurs (1-0) escaped with a 101-100 opening night win over the Dallas Mavericks (0-1) Tuesday.

The Spurs struggled in the first half, but in the second half, regained that championship composure and used their trademark defense and explosive offense to prevent any Mavs upset over the defending champs.

After the game, Project Spurs went into the Dallas locker room to hear what the Mavs players Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler had to say about the Spurs and the loss. (more…)

Video: Boris Diaw breaks Dirk Nowitzki’s ankle

The San Antonio Spurs opened the defense of their title tonight in San Antonio against interstate rival Dallas Mavericks.

It was also ring night for the Spurs as the team collected their 2014 NBA championship rings as well as raised their championship banner.

Oh and Boris Diaw broke Dirk Nowitzki’s ankles on a drive to the basket in the first half. Check it out. (more…)
