Bonner on Bonner

This is the best Bonner interview you will ever see We have serious love for Matt Bonner at Project Spurs — OK, it might be mostly me — and it looks like the San Antonio Spur forward has a lot of love for his brother Luke too. Matt doesn’t get to show off his personality on the court like some other stars do so […]

EuroBasket: France improves to 2-0 with thrashing of Bosnia & Herzegovina

Sunday began like Saturday for the French National team, as Bosnia & Herzegovina were doing their best to impersonate Finland, as B&H kept the game within striking distance by halftime. Eurobasket: Parker guides France past Finland in overtime

Early in the fourth quarter of their opening game of Eurobasket 2015, it seemed as if the French National team was going to pull away with a somewhat, comfortable victory, as Les Bleus was leading Finland by 14 points. Tough To Find A Harder Worker Than Spurs’ Green

Nobody has questioned Danny Green’s work ethic since he rose from D-League rotation piece to Spurs’ starter and NBA Champion. It’s what earned him a new 4-year $40 million deal (less than originally reported, very team friendly regardless) with San Antonio this summer. Green sat down with Slam Online Phillippines last week during NBA 3X Phillippines […]

Spurscast 372: Dead Horse

The San Antonio Spurs are old. Not a rather original line for the eyes and ears of fans but one that remains nonetheless a fact. True as it may be, it has hardly mattered to the black and silver juggernaut that keeps finding new ways to stay in power in an ever-changing basketball landscape. Seasons ago, a change in offensive philosophy put the team in Tony Parker’s hands and allowed Tim Duncan to extend his career. The team infused youth into their roster and found a capable suitor in Kawhi Leonard for the post-Duncan era. This past summer, the team accomplished the incredible by bringing in new all-star talent without sacrificing old-star names. However, the Spurs 2015-16 title quest still hinges on the tired old question: Will age sink this team?

Spurs Showing Interest In Rafael Hettsheimeir

The San Antonio Spurs continue to shake things up. They have been linked to Brazilian big man Rafael Hettsheimeir. This wouldn’t be the first time this name has come up in the Spurs’ conversation. Spurs’ Danny Green: ‘We’re good on paper right now’

Heading into the new NBA season, the San Antonio Spurs are stacked with players which many believe will launch them back to the top of the mountain in the league. Adding LaMarcus Aldridge, David West, Ray McCallum, and re-signing Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and others, all but makes the Spurs a heavy favorite to win […]

Leonard has goals in sight as 2015-16 season approaches

Kawhi Leonard is quiet, laid back and lets his game do the talking for him. He is the perfect fit for the ‘boring’ San Antonio Spurs. However, Leonard let his future goals be known at a recent basketball camp and you could say, he thinks big. Speaking at a kids basketball camp at the Moreno […]

Cory Joseph brings lessons learned from Tony Parker to Toronto

Leadership is perhaps the single irrefutable characteristic of the San Antonio Spurs franchise. Well, that and consistency. The Spurs have enjoyed consistent leadership under Gregg Popovich and his stalwarts of David Robinson, Sean Elliot, Avery Johnson, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili (Honestly, that list could easily be longer.) The secret is really no […]
