It’s not just Tim Duncan who gets to star in his own TV commercial. Now, San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills can boast he is the star of his own local San Antonio TV ad.

Aside from joining Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leaonrd and Tony Parker in the infamous H-E-B commercials, Mills gets the spotlight for himself as a pitchman for a San Antonio air conditioning company where they play on Australian expressions such as “down under” and “mate” as well as play on his ability to knock down the three point shot. Video: Davis Bertans makes improbable three pointer

There’s no doubt San Antonio Spurs overseas prospect, forward Davis Bertans, can light it up from seemingly anywhere on the court.

Case in point, his recent game for Spanish club Laboral Kuxta but versus FIATC Joventut, Davis launched a shot from the half-court line with time winding down in the game, only to see the ball take a very high bounce off the rim and have it come straight back down through the net!

Unfortunately, Davis and Laboral lost the game despite his miracle three-pointer finding the bottom of the net. (more…)

AT&T CENTER – After Friday night’s obliteration of the young Timberwolves up in the frozen wasteland of Minnesota, the San Antonio Spurs returned home the following night to defend their floor against the Brooklyn Nets. The result was a 99-87 victory, giving the Spurs their fourth straight win and their seventh within their last eight games.
