Video: Davis Bertans’ brother, Dairis, has nasty head injury at summer league

The brother of San Antonio Spurs foreign asset Davis Bertans, Dairis, is playing for the Boston Celtics Orlando Summer League squad and in a recent game versus Detroit, he had one nasty, head-on collision with the basketball stanchion.

Dairis was on the fast break, when he went up for the basket and was fouled by a Piston defender which resulted in the injury. Bertans was carried off the court in a stretcher, with his neck stabilized and his teammates cheering him on.

Dairis gave two thumbs up while on the stretched and looks like he will be alright. (more…)

The Spurs have also been busy  filling their Summer League roster. Rookie Kyle Anderson is ready to make his team debut and we will playing alongside a handful of previous Spurs draft picks.
