Video: Scouting Davis Bertans

The San Antonio Spurs may have kicked off the start of training camp but their foreign prospect, Davis Bertans, is also hard at work for Spanish team Laboral.

In the video below, a scout is giving his evaluation of Davis in Spanish and things said are “He’s really tall,” “He’s a different player,” “Passes well,” and “Understands the game.”

Watch Kyle Anderson shows his defensive chops against Warriors’ David Lee

The 2014-15 San Antonio Spurs training camp has officially kicked off which means rookie Kyle Anderson will get his first extended time on the court facing proven NBA veterans.

However, before Kyle laced it up on the Spurs training camp court, he tested his mettle in the offseason against some of the best NBA talent including Warriors’ All-Star forward David Lee.

Using his length and solid footwork, Anderson found himself defending Lee one-on-one and was able to strip the ball from him which led to two points for his team. (more…)

We’re backkkkkk!

On  this brand new Spurs Roundtable powered by Project Spurs, the panel of host Jeff Garcia and Aaron Preine discuss the kick off of the San Antonio Spurs training camp with media day. And though Aaron thought it was uneventful, there were comments from Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili that got people talking.

For Duncan it was how close he was to retiring after last season and for Ginobili, it was how much he was still miffed at the Spurs for not letting him play for Team Argentina at the 2014 FIBA World Cup this summer.
