Report: Tony Parker will play at Olympic Qualifying Tournament

It seems San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker will be having a busy summer.

According to reports, the French guard will suit up for the French National Team this summer at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Manila. And if Team France gets a bit to the Rio Games, he will also commit to playing for gold.

Via L’Equipe:

Yes, I’ll be there for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and I will be in the Olympic Games if we qualify. I want to play for France.”

“I’ve had many discussions with Axelle (his wife) and we agreed. We had to make the decision for us both. She knows how important it is for me. We evaluated all the situations and I’ve made my decision.”

It was reported that Parker might sit out the qualifying tournament due to the arrival of his new child this summer.

The Olympic qualifying games will be held this summer in in Manila, Philippines, July 4-10.
