One Spur thinks Kawhi still hasn’t even hit his prime

San Antonio Spurs All-Star and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard has made enormous strides in every year he’s been in the NBA. He’s getting recognition as a potential MVP candidate this year and could very well win the DPOY again.

However, there’s one Spur who thinks Leonard still has a ways to go.

Considering Matt Bonner is a two-time NBA Champion and one of the all-time great redheads, that comment holds a lot of weight. But in all seriousness, if Bonner is on to something here then Leonard could be scary good over the next several years. Keep in mind that Leonard is only 24 years old and some guys don’t hit their primes until about 26 or 27.

Yeah, Leonard could be an even scarier monster in only a couple seasons.

About Benjamin Bornstein

A University of Florida grad, Ben likes basketball way more than he should. He gets excited about a Timberwolves-Kings game so that should tell you how intense the passion is for him. His favorite teams are the Spurs and Magic because he likes to be on both ends of the winning spectrum.
