Bosh: “We’re going to win Game 5″

The San Antonio Spurs can clinch their fifth NBA championship with a win on Sunday night, but not if Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh has anything to say about it.

“We’re not going down. We’re going to win this game tonight,” Bosh said before Sunday’s game. “We’re going to come. We prepare like we need to do. Plain and simple, we’re going to win this game.”

When asked if he was guaranteeing a victory, Bosh declined to give a direct answer.

“I don’t care about guarantees,” Bosh stated. We’re just going to win the game.”

San Antonio is the 32nd team in NBA history to own a 3-1 series lead in the NBA Finals, the previous 31 teams all went on to win the championship.

The Spurs took both games three and four in Miami in stunning fashion. San Antonio won both games by a combined 40 points, owning a 25 point lead in both games and trailing by just two points in each.

LeBron James said on Saturday there is no reason why the Heat can’t rewrite history and be the first team to come back down 1-3 to win it all.

“So history is made to be broken, and why not me be a part of it?” James said. That would be great. That would be a great storyline, right? But we’ll see what happens. I’ve got to live in the moment, though, before we even get to that point.”

The Spurs and Heat are scheduled to tip-off game five tonight at 7 p.m. central time at the AT&T Center.
