The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will resume their Western Conference Finals series tomorrow in OKC which could mark the return of the Thunder’s big man Serge Ibaka.
Ibaka has been out of the series due to a calf injury and heading into the series, it was announced he would miss the entire postseason. But after going down 0-2 to the Spurs, OKC finds themselves in need of Ibaka’s return which could change the course of the series.
Without Ibaka in the paint on the defensive end, the Spurs have dominated OKC in the middle scoring 120 paint points through two games. Moreover, San Antonio’s guards have been getting to the rim at ease without the defensive presence of Ibaka.
Ibaka spoke to the media today and while he is still listed as day-to-day, he left the window open for a possible return though admitted he won’t be 100 percent.
