Video: Kobe Bryant says goal for Lakers next season is the championship

“Championship. Always. Always. That’s the ultimate. When you stand at the bottom of the mountain your goal is to get to the top of the mountain, you don’t just want to go half way. So, it’s always championship.”

“Whatever it is that you want to do, there’s always an opportunity to rise. Nothing is ever easy, nothing is ever perfect – especially the things that are worthwhile doing. There’s always going to be adversity, there’s always going to be challenges and those are all opportunity to rise above it.”

Ladies and gentlemen, Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant!

Look I get it. Kobe isn’t going to say the obvious and that the Lakers will be circling the bottom of the barrel in the West next season. What does he have as far as teammates? A broken Steve Nash? Shoot-first Nick Young? Robert Sacre? Carlos Boozer?

It’s not going to happen Kobe!

Besides, there’s a team in the West that he may be forgetting about — the defending NBA champs San Antonio Spurs!
