Tim Duncan’s Game 1 finals jersey goes for big bucks at auction

Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat might be remembered for the AT&T Center’s air conditioning going out of commission creating sauna-like temperatures in the arena. Players on both sides were soaking with sweat and even LeBron James suffered cramps late in the game.

Jerseys from that game were up for auction on auctions.nba.com, and Tim Duncan’s jersey was the highest priced selling for $20,770.

LeBron James, who suffered cramps in the loss, had the jersey he wore during the game sell for $50,020. The only other Heat player to have his jersey reach $10,000 Dwyane Wade, whose jersey sold for $10,770

Tim Duncan’s jersey sold for $20,770, the most expensive on the team. Following Duncan were Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, each of whom had their jersey sell for more than $10,000.

Nothing like owning a smelly, sweat-drenched jersey to complete your Spurs memorabilia collection.

What say you Spurs fans? Would you spend this amount of money for a Spurs game-worn jersey?
