Spurs Fans react to Game 2 loss

The San Antonio Spurs will be returning to Miami for Game 3 on Tuesday to take on the Heat with the series tied, 1-1.

After a successful first half for the Spurs, LeBron James began to take over in the third quarter, scoring eight points in a matter of 52 seconds and then went on to score four more as fans watched the Spurs’ six point lead turn morph into a Heat advantage.

The silver and black had another chance to regain control of the game as they were sent to the free throw line twice in the fourth quarter. However, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker’s free throw shot attempts were both unsuccessful, something that haunted fans in a close game that ended with a score of 98-96.

With the series back at square one, Project Spurs wanted fans’ takes on what they believed needed to be done for success in Miami.

“Need to take care of the ball. Need to make free throws. Need a good game from Kawhi.” – @satownsfinest24

“Defense needs to be a little more aggressive. We are playing an aggressive team, so we need to deliver a little more than usual.” – @elysekatie

“ 1) Kawhi Leonard has to find a way to stay out of foul trouble.

  1. Dominate the paint for more than the 1st quarter” – Chill_Willll

It is clear what adjustments fans want from the Spurs by tomorrow’s tip-off, aggressive defense (especially from Kawhi Leonard), and successful free throws when the opportunity arises.
