Splitter, Brazil fall to Lithuania in friendly match

After suffering an exhibition loss on Saturday against the United States, the Brazilian National team was back in action on Thursday in Slovenia, as they played in a friendly match against Lithuania. Unfortunately for San Antonio Spurs center Tiago Splitter and Brazil, they were once again unable to gain a victory, as Lithuania defeated them 64-61.

Splitter finished the game with 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists, while Washington Wizards big man Nene scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds for Brazil. Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas poured in 11 points for Lithuania.

Brazil will face Slovenia today (Friday) in another exhibition match as they continue to prepare for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain beginning on August 30. Over in France, Spurs free agent Aron Baynes and Australia will be facing Finland in friendly play today (Friday).
