(Update) Spurs trade De Colo for Austin Daye

Update 02/20/2014, 4:39 PM CST

Nando De Colo officially tweeted about his trade news.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade Nando De Colo to the Toronto Raptors for Austin Daye.

Daye, a 6'11" forward, has played in just eight games for the Raptors this season averaging 1.0 points in 4.1 minutes per game. Since coming into the league in the 2009-10 season, Daye has played on four teams: Detroit (twice), Memphis, and Toronto.

Daye, 25, will earn less than De Colo this season per BasketballInsiders.com, at $947,907. He also has a non-guranteed option in his contract next season the Spurs can choose to exercise worth $1,063,384.

In trading for Daye, the Spurs receive a backup small forward for Kawhi Leonard for the remainder of the season. For De Colo, when the full squad comes back to full strength, there's a log jam in the back court which made him a trade-able piece.
