Report: Spurs eyeing Caron Butler

According to Yahoo! Sports, the San Antonio Spurs, among other teams, are pursuing Caron Butler.

@WojYahooNBA: Oklahoma City and Miami have emerged as frontrunners to sign Caron Butler, with Chicago and San Antonio in pursuit too, sources tell Yahoo.
Butler, a small forward-shooting guard, played with the Bucks this season and averaged 11 points and 4.6 rebounds in 34 games. He was also a two-time All-Star (2006, 2007) when he was with the Wizards.
Reports still have the Spurs chasing Danny Granger after the Sixers officially bought him out. However, reports have the Clippers as the frontrunners for his services.
Butler could be the Spurs' second option if Granger decides to play for another team. Adding Caron to the mix would definitely give the Spurs another scoring option off the bench as well as a player who can create his own shot and add more veteran leadership to the team.
What are your thoughts Spurs fans? How will Butler fit in?
