Report: Davis Bertans ends contract with Partizan

San Antonio Spurs’ Davis Bertans has ended his contract with Serbian team Partizan Belgrade and is now a free agent according to his agent.

Last season with Partizan, Bertans won the Serbian Championship but suffered a crushing knee injury.

As Project Spurs reported, Bertans suffered a right knee injury in a game versus Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian League Finals. It was a non-contact injury to his right knee.

There were reports Galatasaray of Istanbul was interested in acquiring Davis but now it seems the team has backed off due to Bertans’ huge contract buy out.

Bertans was drafted by the Pacers in the 2011 NBA draft but was traded to the Spurs as part of the deal that sent Kawhi Leonard to the Spurs in exchange for George Hill.

Stay tuned to Project Spurs for more information as it comes in.
