Team France will finally have their captain Boris Diaw on the court now that his insurance issues with the San Antonio Spurs are cleared.
“The matter is settled. It is being finalized, it is a matter of hours,” said Thursday the national technical director Patrick Beesley.
Diaw sat out the previous exhibition games for Team France as the 2014 FIBA World Cup draws near.
France will need Boris as the team is already out Spurs guard Tony Parker, Kevin Seraphin and Joakim Noah.
Diaw will suit up for the first time this weekend versus the Philippines, Ukraine and Australia featuring Spurs free agent Aron Baynes in more tuneup games before the tournament in Spain kicks off.
