Want to own a piece of the San Antonio Spurs’ march to the 2014 NBA title? Well, now you can thanks to Thunder’s Nick Collison.
The Thunder are auctioning off Collison’s bloodied, game-worn sneakers he wore during a Spurs-OKC game from last season.
Via News OK:
“Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Nick Collison wore these shoes during the April 3, 2014, Thunder home game against the San Antonio Spurs. During the game, Collison took a hit to the head, resulting in a cut that left several drops of blood on these shoes, which Collison later autographed.”
Proceeds benefit the Thunder Cares Foundation to support the team’s community outreach efforts.
But talk about having the ultimate in the way of “smack talk” to Thunder fans!
Not only can a Spurs fan point to the Spurs winning the West and NBA title over OKC, they might be able to say they own the blood of San Antonio’s chief rival.
