San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili has been battling injured throughout the season and recently saw time on the court in the Spurs recent loss to the Suns.
Yet despite fighting the injury bug, Manu may still play with Team Argentina this summer at the World Cup of Basketball in Spain.
In an interview with ESPN Deportes, Ginobili stated his possible play with Argentina will come down to his health at the end of this season.
Obviously, Manu isn't a spring chicken for basketball purposes. And considering the Spurs will possibly have a deep playoff run, Manu could be facing one long summer heading into his final contract year with San Antonio.
At 36 years-old, Manu doesn't have much time left in his pro-basketball playing career so it shouldn't come to a big surprise he would want to play for his home country before hanging it up.
Granted, Spurs fans would like to see No. 20 rest up and hopefully end his career with another NBA title but for Manu, representing Argentina is something near and dear to him.
Since he did skip playing for Team Argentina in 2010 at the FIBA World Championship, hearing Manu will lace up his sneakers this summer in Spain won't be a surprise.
If his health allows.
