Splitter finished the game with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Nene of the Washington Wizards added 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Elsewhere in Strasbourg, France, Splitter’s Spurs teammate Boris Diaw, also took part in exhibition play Saturday with France.
Diaw and France used a 20-11 fourth quarter scoring edge to defeat Finland 74-69. Diaw was responsible for half of France’s assists, as he collected 11 of the team’s 22 dimes. Diaw also scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, and even tallied one steal in his 31 minutes of play. Portland Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum led Les Bleus in scoring with 28 points.
Sunday in Strasbourg, Diaw and France will take on Aron Baynes and Australia in a rematch from of their exhibition matchup which took place a week before.
