Fans react to Spurs Summer League performance

The NBA Summer League, a time for fans to get a taste of fresh draftees’ skills on the hardwood, concluded in Las Vegas Monday.

The San Antonio Spurs team left “Sin City” with four wins and two losses, behind the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
As for the Spurs fan-base, most attention was of course concentrated on Kyle Anderson, draft pick number 30. The 20-year-old averaged eight points with 40 percent shooting per game.

One of Anderson’s biggest selling points is his passing ability, something that would help him fit perfectly into the Spurs’ system.

Although Anderson only averaged two assists per game, Spurs fans were still pleased as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Kyle Anderson and the Spurs’ performance as a whole in the Summer League.

“Not too shabby, I like Anderson, plays smart and within himself. Doesn’t try to do too much. He’s got Spur written all over him.” – @FCsportz
“Saw a plethora of talent. Bryce Cotton was balling out of control, Ayres vastly improved his reactions in the paint.” – @JayTical
“I was actually really impressed with the way they played. They showed flashes of what we call ‘Spurs basketball.'” – @jon123spurs
“I liked what I saw from Cotton. Didn’t know what to expect coming in. #GoSpursGo #NBASummerLeague” – @EvanTBoucher
